Daily service for the Annapolis Water Taxi begins Friday.

The taxi, owned and operated by Watermark, began weekend service last month.

From Saturday through May 30, the taxi will run 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday; from 9 a.m. to 12 a.m. on Saturdays, and from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sundays.

Starting May 31, the weekday service starts operating at 9:30 a.m. for the remainder of the reason, Watermark said.

Guests can call 410-263-0033 or VHF channel 68 for service, which costs $3 to $8 per person depending on the destination. Cash and water taxi vouchers are the only accepted forms of payment, Watermark said.

Vouchers may be purchased online in increments of $20 at or at Watermark's floating barge office at the end of City Dock.

Watermark said the 2016 schedule is as follows:

•On weekday mornings, City Dock to Back Creek service is available at 11 a.m. only. Hourly service begins at 1 p.m. on demand. Guests must call the Captain for pickup at least 15 minutes before the hour. No 10 a.m. or 12 p.m. Back Creek service on weekdays.

•On weekends and holidays, the taxi departs City Dock for Back Creek on the hour as traffic demands.

•On weekends and holidays, the taxi departs Back Creek for City Dock approximately 20 minutes past the hour if you call 15 minutes before the hour.
